Water Treatment in Swimming Pools:UtilizingPolyaluminum Chloride as a Key Precipitant

Ensuring the cleanliness and transparency of swimming pool water is key to the water treatment process. At present, polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is commonly used as a precipitant. As an effective water purifier, polyaluminum chloride can effectively remove suspended particles and impurities in water. The rational application of polyaluminum chloride not only improves the visual transparency of swimming pool water but also effectively elevates the hygiene level of the water. In order to ensure the safety and efficiency of swimming pool water quality, the correct application of polyaluminum chloride is crucial.

The Importance of Polyaluminium Chloride (PAC) as a Precipitating Agent

Polyaluminium chloride is a flocculant that has been in use for a long time, is frequently used, and has a wide range of applications. This product is mainly used for purifying water environments, especially for pools with less complex systems.

The main function of the polyaluminum chloride precipitant is to remove suspended particles and impurities in the water, thereby making the water clearer. This agent has always been a preferred choice for many swimming pool venues due to its efficient purification effect. Many swimming pools, especially those with simpler structures, continue to use polyaluminum chloride precipitant for water quality management. Its wide application and remarkable effects have made it well-known among water quality managers.

How to Use Polyaluminum Chloride Precipitant?

1、Calculate Dosage

Calculate the required amount of polyaluminium chloride based on the volume of water in your swimming pool. Normally, 5-8 kg of polyaluminum chloride is needed for every 1,000 cubic meters of water.

2、Premix and Dissolve

When using, first mix 1 part of solid polyaluminum chloride with 3 parts of clean water. For example, if 5 kilograms of polyaluminum chloride are needed, prepare 15 kilograms of water first.

3、Stir and Dissolve

Slowly add the polyaluminium chloride to the bucket filled with water, stirring while adding, to ensure that it is completely dissolved and evenly dispersed. After all the polyaluminum chloride is added and stirred evenly, continue adding water until the total amount in the bucket reaches 150 kg, and continue stirring to make it even.

4、Dilution and Use

Dilute the premixed solution further to a concentration of 2-3% and sprinkle evenly into the pool. Ensure the solution is evenly distributed during sprinkling.

5、Things to Note

When using polyaluminum chloride precipitant, ensure the pH value of the swimming pool water is not lower than 7.5, and the water temperature is not too high. After adding the agent, the swimming pool water surface needs to remain still for 6-8 hours to achieve the optimal sedimentation effect.

6、Clean Up Sediment

After adding, use a manual suction machine to remove the sediment settled at the bottom of the swimming pool, to ensure the completion of the entire water treatment process.

In general, the use of polyaluminium chloride as a precipitating agent in swimming pool water treatment is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the water. By following appropriate operating procedures and precautions, you can effectively remove impurities from the water and improve water quality. In addition, regular monitoring of the swimming pool’s water quality and timely adjustment of the flocculant dosage according to changes in water quality are essential to ensure the long-term cleanliness and safety of the swimming pool water.
