How to quickly restore turbid swimming pool water

In the context of changing seasons, the management of swimming pool water quality has garnered increasing attention. Turbid water not only impacts the swimming experience but also poses health risks. When the water in your swimming pool becomes cloudy, what steps should be taken to clarify it?

Why does the water in the swimming pool suddenly become turbid?

Swimming pool water can become turbid due to various reasons. Firstly, an abundance of impurities such as fallen leaves, dust, and oil can lead to water turbidity, especially during rainy weather.

Secondly, improper water treatment or inadequate use of disinfectants can result in the rapid breeding of bacteria and microorganisms, causing a decline in water quality and turbidity. Additionally, with a sudden rise in temperature, organic matter in the water breaks down, contributing to water quality deterioration, especially during hot summer weather.

The sudden increase in swimming pool usage is also a potential concern, as it introduces substances like grease, dander, and cosmetics into the water, resulting in turbid water quality.

Moreover, an imbalance in chemical components such as chloride ions and pH value in pool water can cause water quality deterioration and turbidity. Equipment failures or improper operation of water pumps, filters, and other systems can also lead to water quality degradation and haziness. Leaking or contaminated pipes can contribute to water turbidity as well. Effective management and maintenance of the swimming pool, regular facility and water quality testing, and appropriate measures are essential to ensure transparent water quality.

Specific Solutions

Use of Swimming Pool Clarifier:If the pool has a circulating water system, a pool clarifier can be added. The cost of using a clarifier is low, typically requiring 1 kilogram of clarifier per 1,000 cubic meters of water. After adding the clarifier, the circulation system should be activated, ensuring at least one complete cycle, preferably two. This treatment effectively removes turbid particles, making the water more transparent and cleaner.

Utilization of Pool Flocculant:If the pool lacks a circulation system, pool flocculant can be applied. Flocculants are usually in solid form, and although their application is somewhat complex, their effects are significant. After applying the flocculant, wait for it to have a certain effect in the water, causing impurities at the bottom to coagulate. Then, manual vacuuming should be performed to remove the accumulated dirt. This process cannot be carried out with an automatic vacuum cleaner and must be done manually. Simultaneously, the use of disinfectants is primarily to treat bacteria and spores in the debris washed ashore, with water quality cleaned 2 hours after disinfectant use to ensure the effective elimination of bacteria and spores.

By regularly cleaning the pool bottom, maintaining the filtration system, and judiciously applying water quality treatment agents to ensure balanced water quality, we can prevent and combat water pollution effectively. Additionally, we remind all swimmers to adhere to rules and maintain personal hygiene to ensure the cleanliness of the pool. Through our collective efforts, we aim to provide each guest with a clean, safe, and comfortable swimming pool, allowing everyone to enjoy a pleasant time in the refreshing pool
